Hebron Businessmen’s Forum was founded in 1995 and is considered one of the oldest private sector institutions established in Palestine. Founded to act as a defender to the Palestinian private sector interests and act as one of the catalysts to the development and growth of the Palestinian economy in general and the private sector specifically. Its location in the city of Hebron, one of the leading Palestinian economic and industrial cities adds both strength to the institution and the burden of delivering high quality services to its members and the business community in general. The members of the PBF have adopted the following as the basis of their strategic operations: Vision The forum is to be a pioneer in the business community and an effective partner to the private and public sector institutions in developing trade and investment policies in Palestine. Mission Strengthening the role of businessmen as pioneers of economic development and a guiding light for the service of civil society. Goals 1. Strengthening cooperation among representative institutions of the business community locally, regionally and internationally. 2. Defending the forum›s objectives and its members› rights and interests. 3. Promoting the competitiveness of Palestinian Products and services in local, regional and international markets. 4. Providing investment and business opportunities in Palestine, by advocating adoption of national economic policies with relevant authorities. 5. Developing business people’s capacities through and participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions locally, regionally and internationally. 6. Boosting trade and economic relations between the Palestinian Businesspeople and their peers regionally and internationally. 7. Urging and empowering Palestinian businesspeople to establish leading economic projects. 7
