Given the fact that the private sector is the major contributor to economic growth and employment creation, the Ministry of National Economy is keen to strengthen the partnership and dialogue between the public and private sectors at all levels in order to achieve the desired economic growth. Notably, the key role of private sector and the participatory approach between public and private sectors can be clearly seen through the sectoral strategy for the national economy 2021- 2023, and industrial clusters strategy in the governorates of Hebron and Nablus. Despiteall challenges facing thePalestinianeconomy,mainly represented in the Israeli occupation, whichcontinues to systematically impede economic development in Palestine, through its discriminatory and arbitrary practices and its continuous violations, in addition to the enormous economic and social impacts imposed by the health pandemic, yet the Palestinian private sector hasmade significant advances in recent years and proven the ability to overcome these challenges by creating effective and efficient initiatives in order to achieve economic growth. TheMinistryofNational Economy isworking to facilitateandaccelerateproceduresandopen thedoor for investment in many sectors by creating more enabled investment environment and starting business in Palestine, represented by the government reforms pertaining to the legislative and regulatory environment, establishing industrial cities and zones, providing investment incentives, exploring new markets regionally and internationally to unleash the untapped potential for Palestinian products. I highly appreciate theefforts of theBusinessmenForumand their roleas a crucial player in thebusiness community, where they are an authentic partner for private and public sectors in formulating development and investment policies in Palestine. We are proud of the various success stories of Palestinian businessmen. The Palestinian products have been able to enter the markets of more than eighty countries worldwide. Furthermore, the national product consumesahighshare in thePalestinianmarket due to itsdistinctiveandhighquality. Moreover, Palestinian companies and factories contribute to creating a supply chain to provide the economic sectors with their needs at competitive prices, contributing to the nourishment of the Palestinian economy.
